As visitors continue to flock to Broughshane year-round in considerable numbers, the community is calling for young people in the village to train as tour guides.

As part of a new community initiative, a training programme has been developed to get teenagers aged over 15 in Broughshane using new technology to get them involved in welcoming visiting groups from throughout the province and beyond.

The training programme aims to encourage young villagers to accompany existing tour guides, before empowering them with the confidence to lead groups themselves.

Any young people interested in getting involved can contact Valerie Blake at Broughshane House by emailing broughshane@nacn.org or calling 028 25862777.
