Film and TV star Jamie Dornan raised a few eyebrows when he popped into The Chippy in Antrim for a bite to eat after a day’s filming.
The Northern Irish actor is busy filming the second series of the popular BBC One drama The Fall and called in after a day’s filming locally last week.
Staff at first didn’t realise it was the star of the upcoming Fifty Shades of Grey film.
Joanne Graham, manageress of the The Chippy, said: “He came in and we didn’t realise it was him at first. I recognised his face but it wasn’t until one of our customers let out a wee yell that we realised it was him.”
Joanne said Dornan was very down to earth and chatted away to customers and staff before stepping behind the counter of the award-winning eatery for a quick lesson in cooking.
“He was really chatty and we showed him what we do; he couldn’t believe how many staff we had working,” Joanne said.
After gamely having his photo taken with staff and customers, and signing autographs, Dornan departed with a cod supper.
“We put the pictures up on Facebook and it went mad; we had people re-Tweeting and posting,” Joanne added.
