Newcomer to the local political scene, Patrice Hardy of Sinn Fein has taken the second seat in Bannside DEA.

She was elected following the transfer of Philip Burnside’s (Alliance) votes.

Burnside was eliminated in the first count with 450 votes - 667 short of the 1117 quota.
