NRC student Russell McNeill has been awarded this year’s top management award for his studies in Leadership and Management from the College’s Acumen Management Centre.
The award, which is sponsored by AVX, recognises the best student with the highest overall marks on the Level 5 ILM Leadership and Management Diploma.
Russell has been working with Wrightbus for more than seven years and was promoted to the Manufacturing Engineering Co-ordinator in 2012.
Speaking about his award and success, Russell said: “When I started the course I was unsure what to expect, the variety of skills gained from marketing to motivation and leadership are invaluable in today’s fast paced manufacturing environment.
“The modules on professional development encouraged me in my career of continual learning, to cope with the demands of the modern day manager, helping me to ensure I perform efficiently and effectively, adhering to all rules and regulations.”
