EUROSPAR Cullybackey is helping the local area get into the festive spirit as it unveils Cullybackey’s new Christmas tree ahead of its big switch on tonight.

Taking place at 7pm, the supermarket is inviting local residents to come along and meet Santa as he arrives to turn on the Christmas tree lights and give treats out to all the good little boys and girls. Buick Primary School Choir will also be there singing some festive favourites.

Store Manager Laura McClean said: “On Tuesday night our staff will be giving out free mince pies, shortbreads, soup and hot savouries plus tea and coffee to the crowds and some of our staff are also planning to dress up. In addition, we will be collecting for Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children and other local charities, plus joining Santa for the switch on will be local boy, Brandon Dunseith.”
