Media outnumber spectators as Ballymena prepares for Neeson ‘freedom’

IN rain lashed Ballymena, there are currently more media representatives than spectators at the Braid Arts Centre as the final preparations are made for the Liam Neeson freedom ceremony this afternoon!

The big man from the Demesne would be wise to pull on that big black coat he used to wear when he was a struggling local actor trudging the streets of the town back in the 1970s. It’s windy, it’s wet and it’s not getting any better on the weather front.

The Ballymena Times will keep you up to date all day with the happenings at the Braid.

You can also look forward to a special souvenir edition on Tuesday morning.
