Stabbing victim to be laid to rest

THE funeral of Ballymena man John Lamont who was found stabbed to death in the early hours of Tuesday will take place on Monday afternoon, it has been announced.

The 64-year-old was found at his Carnvale home with his injured wife, Elizabeth, who was taken to hospital with serious stab wounds.

A 26-year-old was arrested over the stabbings which have shocked the quiet neighbourhood.
