New figures reveal that The National Lottery has invested more than £62.9 million in projects based in North Antrim, in the 20 years since the first draw on November 19, 1994.

In the past two decades 985 grants have been awarded to individuals and organisations throughout North Antrim helping to change lives and transform communities - the largest National Lottery grant in the area being £5.2 million to the North Eastern Education and Library Board in April 2002.

Other notable National Lottery awards in North Antrim include almost £5 million for the ecos Millennium Environmental Centre in Ballymena and £4.4 million for the Braid museum and arts centre.
