Ahoghill girl, Lynne McDowell, has been hired as a new face of country music channel, Keep It Country TV.

Lynne will co-present the Phil Mack Country Music show which airs every Monday on the channel at 9pm.

The recently launched channel is now live on Sky 389 and Freesat 516 and is expected to be air shortly on Freeview.

She said: “I feel privileged to be able to shine a light on a whole host of artists that deserve greater publicity and need a dedicated platform that is genuinely rooting for their success.”

A former Deputy Head Girl at Ballymena Academy, Lynne started her career in the European Parliament working for Jim Allister MEP before moving to London to fulfil her dream of working in the music industry.
