Local MLA Robin Swann has “warmly congratulated” money-savvy teenagers from Ballymena who have progressed to next stage of the Money for Life Challenge.
He described the three groups of young people from Ballymena who have made it through to the next stage of Lloyd’s Banking Group’s award-winning Money for Life Challenge were “shining examples to other young people in the constituency”.
The Money for Life Challenge is a UK-wide competition that encourages young people between the ages of 16-24 to run a money management activity in their areas.
They can apply to Money for Life for a grant of £500 to help run their project, with the best ideas going through to a grand final in Parliament Buildings in April 2015.
Three groups from Ballymena were among 40 projects chosen to progress onto the next stage and awarded a £500 grant to make their money-saving idea a reality.
