Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Councillor Thomas Hogg, recently launched the Prince’s Trust Development Awards which provide support for young people aged 16 to 25 who are not in education or employment living in Antrim and Newtownabbey.

There are 40 Development Awards being funded by the Council, each worth a maximum of £200, available to assist disadvantaged young people in helping them to achieve a positive outcome by supporting them into education, training or employment.

The financial support will assist young people with various items including funding for courses, equipment needed in order to gain qualifications, travel costs, and short term childcare.
