Getting a job is becoming more and more competitive these days, so to help local pupils from Antrim Grammar School gain experience, Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council invited them along to Antrim Civic Centre to take part in work experience.

Over the course of three days, Bailey Wilson, Anna Nelson, Owen McCartney, Owen McClurkin and Jordan McKelvey spent time working in various Council departments including HR, Marketing & PR, Sports Development and Legal & Governance.

Bailey also spent a very busy day out and about with the Mayor accompanying him on all his engagements.

Mayor of Antrim & Newtownabbey, Councillor Thomas Hogg said: “We were delighted to welcome the students along to Antrim Civic Centre.

“Work experience can give pupils a fantastic insight into real work situations and can help them decide what career path they may like to follow.”
