A fundraising quiz on behalf of the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust will be held in Ballymena Bowling Club on Friday, May 6, at 8.30 pm.
The Trust, set up around 4 years ago, exists to repatriate the body or bodies of loved ones who have died outside Ireland, usually in tragic or sudden circumstances. To date the Trust has assisted over 150 families experiencing the trauma of dealing with the return of a family member from abroad.
As well as assisting financially, the Trust manages all administrative matters involved in repatriation from abroad, thereby lifting a heavy burden for the bereaved families, allowing them space to grieve and come to terms with their loss. Just recently the Trust was involved in the repatriation of Sister Clare, the nun who died in the Ecuador earthquake.
On the quiz evening, refreshments will be served and there will be a raffle with excellent prizes. Anyone wishing to assist, either with providing refreshments, raffle prizes or making a donation, please contact Derek Greer by text, phone call ( 07752140037 ) or by a Facebook personal message. Teams of any size are welcome at a cost of £4 per person.
