News that Cullybackey College and Dunclug High School will benefit from substantial capital investment has been welcomed by local Sinn Fein MLA Daithi McKay.
Both local schools will benefit from a £170million investment in 16 schools by Education Minister John O’Dowd.
Mr McKay said: “I understand that the Minister has used his entire available budget to ensure that as many schools as possible benefited from the announcement.
“Not only is this good news for the schools affected including Dunclug and Cullybackey but it is also a boost to the local economy especially the construction industry.
“I have been lobbying the Education Minister since he came to office on the need for capital investment in North Antrim schools and it is good to see that he is continuing to deliver,” said Mr McKay.
