St. Patrick’s bellringers rang special peal for Queen’s 90th birthday

The bell ringing team at St. Patrick’s Church in Ballymena helped ring out a special peal for the Queen’s 90th birthday.

The peal was sounded at 12 noon today following a special request from Her Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant for Co Antrim, Joan Christie OBE.

The six ringers who rang for Her Majesty’s 90th Birthday are pictured along with High Sheriff of County Antrim Mr James E Perry a former ringer himself, Tower Captain Sam Letters and two new members who came up the tower to be part of the celebration.

Prior to ringing the bells of St Patrick’s Parish Church, Ballymena for Her Majesty’s 90th Birthday Celebrations, Sam Letters(left) was congratulated on his 71 years as a ringer by the High Sheriff Mr James Perry.
