Park & Ride facilities at Cullybackey are to share in a £705,000 investment announced by Regional Development Minister Danny Kennedy.
Under Minister Kennedy’s proposals, the Park and Ride projects to be funded in 2015/16 will be at Cullybackey and Ballymoney.
Local Ulster Unionist MLA Robin Swann welcomed the investment “especially at a time that has witnessed dramatic increases in the number of people using public transport”.
According to Assemblyman Swann, £495,000 will be used to complete a project at Cullybackey for a new 110-space, rail based facility in 2015/16. He also revealed £175,000 funding was provided for land acquisition in 2014/15.
