'The Mustard Seed' is planted in Cullybackey

'The Mustard Seed' Christian bookshop and Coffee Shop has just opened its doors in Cullybackey.

Situated at 84 Main Street in the village, this new venture is open from 8.30am until 5pm from Monday until Saturday each week.

It’s proprietor, Alistair Dunlop revealed why he is so excited by this project, saying: “I had a desire to open a Christian book shop as not only a business venture but also as a Christian outreach to the village of Cullybackey. All the Bibles and books are new and if I haven't got a requested title in stock, I will do my best to find it.”

“We stock all types of books; children’s, youth, devotions, biographies and Bible studies, as well as CD's and Christian gifts. Also available is a range of greeting cards and general gifts. The shop also has a coffee area where we serve hot and cold drinks, homemade scones, pastries, cakes and sandwiches.”

Alistair hopes that the shop can become a central part of the village life providing a friendly and relaxing atmosphere and hopefully encourage people to read good books.

He adds: “My wife Yvonne and myself would like to thank friends, family and others who have helped us establish this business”.
