Volunteering opportunities are now available with the Youth Justice Agency’s Ballymena Area Team.

The Ballymena Area Office, which covers Antrim, Ballymena, Ballymoney, Coleraine, Moyle, Larne and surrounding areas, are seeking to recruit new volunteers to support the organisation’s work.

Volunteers can be from a range of backgrounds, disciplines, ages and interests and will fulfil a number of roles including supporting reparative activities, befriending or mentoring and helping young people to reintegrate back into their own communities.

The Ballymena Area Team welcome applications from interested persons aged 18 or over, who can commit to two to three hours per week and are willing to work unsocial hours and weekends if necessary.

All prospective volunteers will go through an interview, induction and training process before being formally registered as a Youth Justice Agency Volunteer.

An information evening will be held on Wednesday, September 9 from 6pm to 8pm at the Youth Justice Agency office, 7 Springwell Street, Ballymena, BT43 6AT.

Please contact the Youth Justice Agency Ballymena office on 028 2563 9900 or via email to deirdre.doyle@dojni.x.gsi.gov.uk to register attendance by Friday, September 4.
