Friends of the Somme Mid & East Antrim Branch members have carried out some much needed maintenance work on the headstones of those WW1 heroes buried in the former borough of Ballymena.

The headstones have shown signs of weathering and moss growth and on Saturday the members split up into teams and covered the Town Cemeteries, Ahoghill, Portglenone and Newtowncrommelin.
