A plucky Starbucks employee in Antrim is braving the waxer’s chair to raise funds for charity.

Steve Caldwell, who works at the Junction One branch, had his hair shaved off for Children in Need last year, but is going a step further on Monday, May 2, by having his legs waxed.

The charity fun day at the Antrim store on Monday will be raising money for the NI Hospice.

Steve said: “I wanted to do something to grab the attention of the public, to shine a light on these heroes in the NI Hospice who work tirelessly to ensure people of all ages have a better life.”

The day will include a raffle full of various prizes and shopping vouchers, all building up to Steve’s leg waxing, which will be done live in the store at 3pm.

Starbucks manager Denise Stewart, has been raising money for nearly eight years for the NI Hospice, while this is the second year Starbucks Ireland have endeavoured to raise money for this charity, with last year’s total reaching a staggering £15,000.

The public can donate any day this week, buy a raffle ticket, or call in and show their support on Monday.
