Young artists have just until the end of January to enter the NI Young Artist of the Year competition for the chance to win £1,000.

Run in conjunction with the Braid Arts Centre & Museum and organised by Ballymena Rotary Club, the competition’s main sponsor is Vision Express and it is also sponsored by Raceview Mill and Artworks NI.

The winner of the competition, which is open to young artists aged 18-30, will also receive a trophy and have their work exhibited in the Braid Museum & Arts Centre.

Rotarian and gallery owner Roy McKeown described it as “a great opportunity”.

Entries must be submitted via the web site www.niyoungartistoftheyear.com by January 31.
