AN IN form quartet of Fit N Running athletes brought the curtain down on the cross country season with fine performances at Stormont on Saturday.

The club’s Northern Ireland and Ulster indoor silver medallist Conor McQuillan celebrated his first anniversary in the sport with a resounding victory in the boys Under 15’s race. Conor looked superb as he hit the front from the gun and kept a high intensity throughout to finish with 100 meter advantage over the chasing field of quality athletes.

James Wallace matched Connor’s achievement when he claimed first place in the Male 50 age category.

Going in the Male open Mark McKinstry finished in 44th place from a field of 134 runners.

Paula Wallace kept up her good winter form when she claimed 6th place in her age category in the ladies race.
