Annual charity football match raises £1,700 for Spina Bifida

Friday night’s charity football match between Ballee Liverpool Supporters and Ballee Manchester United supporters once again proved a major success.

The two teams met in their annual charity game on the 3g pitch at Ballymena Showgrounds in aid of the Ballymena Spina Bifida Association and raised the magnificent sum of £1715.15 for the local charity.

The event was arranged by Josh McCrory and friends with the players all being sponsored and also paying to play.

In front a good crowd of supporters Liverpool had the edge throughout the game winning by three goals to one.

After the game a disco was held in the Ballee Arms with the proceeds of the raffle being added to the total.

The Association through Chairman Billy McIlroy BEM, Myrtle Taylor and Pam Donnell thanked Josh and the teams for their support.
