The annual event, organized for the parent club by a committee of fans headed up by Supporter Liason Officer Philip Simpson, will mark the end of the regular season at the Showgrounds with supporters’ clubs recognizing the efforts of the team this season.

The evening will kick off with a buffet dinner at 5:30pm followed by a question and answer session with David Jeffrey, hosted by Davy ‘Kingo’ King.

Supporters’ clubs will have an opportunity to present their annual awards to the players, before a raffle will take place, with prizes including a retro Liverpool FC top signed by the Liverpool Legends team; match day Jim Ervin top signed by the team and a Ballymena United bench coat.

For the first time, the awards night will also benefit a local charity with which Ballymena United has recently announced a partnership with.

BraveheartsNI is a local charity set up to support the needs of teenagers and young adults in Northern Ireland with congenital heart disease, and is currently raising funds to open the first dedicated teenage heart unit in Northern Ireland.

As Philip explains, “David Jeffrey recently spoke about his meeting with Bravehearts in which he was inspired and motivated by the resilience of the young people he met.

“The club is looking to promote this charity across the season and we saw an opportunity to help out through our event.

“All profits from the ticket sales and raffle will go directly to the Bravehearts.”

Tickets are priced £10 and will be on sale beside the club shop at the remaining two home games, and also from Stirling Trophies, or by contacting Philip Simpson on 07734591769.

“We have already seen a high demand, but we are limited to a certain number for catering so we would advise supporters to get their tickets as early as possible to avoid disappointment” concluded Philip.
