Ballymena United striker Johnny McMurray is looking forward to Saturday’s Danske Bankm Premiership clash at the Showgrounds.

And McMurray is upbeat as Ballymena are in top top form with four wins and a draw from their last five, the Glens are in a bit turmoil.

Without a manager and with just one win in eight, they’re already seven points behind their hosts.

“You want to get people at the right time,” said McMurray.

“The Glens have had a few bad results but we’ve hit form. I don’t think we’re worried about who we play at the minute.

“We’re scoring goals. We’re conceding a few goals as well but that’s something we’re working on.

“We got a clean-sheet on Saturday and hopefully we can move on and get another one.

“The club wants trophies in the door but they have targets set aside and they know what they want, be it top six or trophies,” said McMurray.

And McMurray says his partnership with Cathair Friel is just getting better and better.

“We’re clicking,y. “Goals are goals, whether I score them, Cathair scores them or anybody else does. Tony (Kane) has done alright, Kyle (Owens) has done alright. There are goals coming from everywhere in the team.

“My season’s scoring has started alright but I think Cathair has started off at a bit of a higher stride. If I can supply him, I don’t think Davey Jeffrey will mind if I don’t score as many myself.”
