Carniny Youth FC round-up: Under-15s to the ‘four’ in win

THE Under 15s led the way this week for Carniny Youth teams, when they ran out 4-1 winners against Ballymoney Utd YA at the Showgrounds.
The Under 13s suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of Glentoran at Mallusk, whilst the Under 14s had their Friday night match postponed. The Under 11s had to wait to Sunday for their match against Carrick Rangers, and shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw at Taylors Ave.
TEENAGE KICKZ LAUNCH
Friday evening saw the launch of the latest Carniny initiative with a cross- section of juveniles meeting to play football at Ballymena Showgrounds under the banner of Carniny Amateur & Youth FC ‘Teenage Kickz’ programme.
The project, which is supported by Ballymena Borough Council funded through Department of Justice through Ballymena Policing and Community Safety Partnership, will run each Friday night up until the end of March, and is aimed at young people aged 15 to 19 inclusive. Interested persons should arrive at the Showgrounds venue by 7.15pm on Friday 1st February, 2013.
Please bring non-metal studded boots and changing is available on the night and remember it’s totally FREE!
TEATIME LEAGUE
The highly successful ‘TEATIME LEAGUE’ returns this Friday (1st February) at the 3G facility at Ballymena Showgrounds.
Starting this Friday night from 6pm to 7.30pm will be children from the under 9s age group on the 3G facility at Ballymena Showgrounds.
Teams from Chimney Corner, Ballymena Youth Academy as well as Carniny Youth will take part although there are other teams who have shown an interest to take part in this invitational event containing local youth set ups.
The Teatime League is an established IFA Games Development Centre and is a prequel to the Ballymena Invitational Mini Soccer League which kicks off in the spring.
FOOTBALL DEVELOPMENT CENTRE
Carniny Youth’s Football Development Centre, sponsored by Robinsons Costcutters, will be recommencing on Saturday 9th February.
Those players who have attended the centre previously should have received their invitation to attend the session. Additionally, those with children born in 2008, 2007, 2006, 2005 interested in attending should contact Linda 0778548780.
