The competitive action will resume this Saturday, January 9, for the majority of Carniny Youth’s National League teams.

Players and coaches alike will be keen to get back to training and matches.

The U10s will start back in the NWCDYL at the end of the month with the U11s and 12s continuing their campaigns in the Lisburn Youth League.

The U13s will be back in action in the South Belfast Youth league whilst the 14s, 15s, 16 and 17s will continue in the NIBFA National League. The U19s will start up their NIFL Youth League matches later this month.

CHARITY MATCH

Carniny Amateur and Youth FC and Ballymena United Coaches played out a friendly match last Tuesday evening at Ballymena Showgrounds. This year the nominated charity was CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young), with the game being played in memory of the inspirational Wes Gregg who died earlier this year.

Wes, as the IFA Grassroots Development Officer for the area, was instrumental in helping coaches and kids at both clubs and organisers were delighted to be able to hand over a sizeable donation to members of his family on behalf of the chosen charity. Aptly the game ended in a 1-1 draw.
