Carniny Youth U14s wrapped up the season for the club’s youth teams last Saturday with a 3-3 draw with Carnmoney FDC in the NIBFA Subway National League.

Elsewhere, the club were delighted to put several teams into the Ballymena Invitational Mini Soccer League which is now in its 15th year.

Carniny U9 played a series of games against Northend, Ballymena, Whitehead and Antrim Rovers on Saturday morning on the 2g pitch at the showgrounds.

Carniny Amateurs produced a series of encouraging performances, remaining undefeated in their 5 games with Callum McDonald in goals producing a string of fine saves, supported well by his defence of Reuben Burnett, Daniel Kane and Jack Campbell. Conor Scullion, Conor O’Loan and Grace Campbell provided the cutting edge in attack.

The Carniny Youth team also played 5 games looking unstoppable in two of them with goals from Zack McAtamney, Callum Fletcher and Adam Wharry. Matthew Turtle Harry Lamont and Charly Gregg put in good performances throughout the morning but ultimately our boys were undone by lapses in concentration in our other three fixtures.
