Wakehurst made it four points from their last two Belfast Telegraph Championship Two fixtures by beating Glebe Rangers 3-1 at Mill Meadow on Saturday.
“It was a game where we might well play better and lose in some of our remaining games but it was nice to build upon the draw at Limavady the previous week,” manager Ian Gregg told Times Sport.
“We were always in control and it reinforces the belief I have that we have enough quality in our squad to rise up the table and finish in mid-table.”
Andy Laughlin capped what Gregg described as a “powerhouse” performance by scoring twice, the first a volley from a sharp angle and then following up after Conor Gregg’s effort had been saved.
Those goals came either side of a Glebe goal from former Wakehurst striker David Paul but Ryan Young set the seal on the Ballymena men’s win with a fine second half strike.
