Northend United Youth’s partnership with Wakehurst took another step forward at the weekend, ahead of the new season.
Wakehurst under-17s made their debuts on Friday night in a game billed as a pre-season friendly against the Championship Two club’s second string, Wakehurst Strollers.
Unknown to the young U17s players, first team manager Paul Muir and his assistant Neil Candlish had invited along a number of trialists for Wakehurst 1st team and Strollers Manager Jason Connolly was parading a number of his new signings.
