THREE of Northend’s teams came up against Irish League Academy side Coleraine on Saturday, with two of them recording memorable results.

Northend U16s turned in another outstanding performance when they beat the Coleraine side by a 2-1 scoreline at Dunfane on Saturday in the Elite National League.

The U10s also beat their Coleraine neighbours with a 7-0 scoreline, with five different players on the scoreline.

The U11s lost to their Coleraine neighbours at Ballysally on Saturday in a match where finishing was their downfall. Charlie Metrustry scored while Sean Higgins was in top form for the Blues.

The U12s and U13s had no match, as the entire Belfast and East Antrim League was cancelled and the U14s lost at Smithfield to League pacesetters Glendowan in the National League.

For full reports on each of the games, see this week’s Ballymena Times.
