The two week festive fixture shut down has now come to a close and training recommenced last night (Monday 4th January) at the Showgrounds for all teams.
A number of the teams have been keeping in practice during the holidays with a series of friendly fixtures and some good-natured old scores being settled - not least amongst the team managers - in the U10 v U11, U14 v U15 and U16 v U17 matches.
All Daily Mirror Lisburn Youth League teams are looking forward to getting back to competitive action on Saturday 9th January, with a return to their League and Cup programs.
The U11s are relishing their NIBFA Cup match against fellow Lisburn Invitational Youth League team Hillsborough Colts in a rare Ballymena Showgrounds appearance. A win will see the Ballymena Boys into the last 16 in this prestigious tournament.
The U12s are also in NIBFA Cup action when they travel to Armagh City for a match that has been postponed once already due to adverse weather conditions.
The remaining teams all see a return to League action, in what has been the most competitive League tournaments to date.
