In the National League, the U17s get back into action when they travel to Greysteel on Friday night to play Foyle Harps, while the U15s travel to play Warrenpoint Town.

This will be the last competitive match for the U17s before their Plate Final against Linfield on the 10th May, a match all at Northend and Wakehurst are looking forward to.

WAKEHURST FC UPDATE

A third member of the U17s squad made their debut for Wakehurst FC at the weekend, when Niall Swann joined Jamie Speirs and Aodhan Tolan in the Wakehurst panel for the Irish League Championship 2 match against Armagh City.

Although the boys ended up on the losing team, all three picked up some invaluable experience, playing against the current League leaders.

With a transition from youth football to Irish League football assured with the Northend United and Wakehurst partnership, it won’t be long before more of Northend’s youth team players make the transition to play for Wakehurst FC, with a number of the U17s already playing for Wakehurst Strollers.

Northend United are always on the lookout for new talented players and coaching assistants for each of their eleven youth teams and with this partnership, the Club can offer the benefits of local Irish League football, something other Clubs cannot offer.
