CLOUGH Rangers’ fairytale run in the County Antrim Junior Shield came to an end at the quarter-final stage on Saturday - in the most cruel of circumstances.

Clough were beaten on penalties by a very good Portaferry Rovers side after the sides had finished deadlocked at 2-2.

Meanwhile, the standout game in the Arkmedia Division One saw Harryville Homers maintain their unbeaten start to the league campaign as they defeated fierce rivals Carniny Rangers 1-0, thanks to a Darren Campbell goal.

For full reports, results, fixtures, league tables, plus photographic coverage of the Division Two game between Cullybackey Olympic and FC Antrim, don’t miss this week’s Ballymena/Antrim Times.
