Fit N Running duo in good form around Bay Road

Fit N Running had 2 athletes in action last week at the Bay Road 5mile road race.

The in form Pauline Thom continued her good form with another podium position when she finished second. Having lead for the majority of the race she was piped on the line and claimed 2nd in 31mins 13secs.

Also in action was the ever improving Vernon Shiels who recorded a 48 sec personal best to finish 12th in 29mins 2secs.

Sharon Leetch was in action on Friday night in North Belfast and was an age category prize winner over 4 miles. She finished 5th female overall in 24mi s 40secs.

NEW CLASSES

Fit N Running started their 2 new classes this week.

The 8week beginners running class began on Monday evening while the 8 week Speed development class started on Wednesday evening.

The course will teach proper running technique, warm up and cool down routines using a range of modern training and strength/conditioning methods.

The speed development course is beneficial to all sportspeople regardless of your sport (endurance or sprint based) or club.

Fit N Running weekly sessions and times are as follows:

Monday 615pm Recreational Run

Monday 730pm Beginners Run

Wednesday 615pm Conditioning Circuit class.

Wednesday 730pm Speed development Course

Thursday 430pm Elite Development squad training ( Race preparation session).

Thursday 630pm Flexibility Class (Private Studio)

Saturday 915am Elite Development squad training ( Race preparation session at various locations).
