AP McCoy is to receive a lifetime achievement award at Sunday’s BBC Sports Personality of the Year awards ceremony in Belfast

The Moneyglass man retired from horse racing earlier this year after a glittering career in the saddle.

And on the eve of that award, McCoy has been pictured in his hometown of Moneyglass with the HARP Angel after being named one of three HARP Living Legends: Giants of NI Sport.

McCoy was named alongside Rory McIlroy and Pat Jennings by an expert panel including Barry McGuigan (former featherweight world champion), Jackie Fullerton (voice of NI football), Adrian Logan (former UTV sports editor) and Graham Little (Sky Sports).
