Athlete Colin continues to make huge strides in Fit N Running colours

Colin Apperley continued his relentless run of progression at the weekend.

The Fit N Running Ballymena athlete recorded yet another personal best time on Saturday morning in Coleraine.

The relative newcomer to running, who took up the sport 18months, ago has ran 9 races and recorded 9 bests since linking up with Fit N Running 5 months ago.

He was in action in the Boom 10k and claimed a top 10 finish when crossing the line in 9th place in 38mins 30secs.

This follows on from encouraging recent results for Colin at races in Coleraine, Ballymoney and Laganside, in recent weeks.

BEGINNERS’ COURSE

Last Monday evening saw Fit N Running start a new 8 week beginners course.

It was well attended with a total of 25 runners enroling for the newly revamped course which will take them from scratch to 35mins running over an 8 week period.

WEEKLY TRAINING

Fit N Running weekly sessions and times are as follows:

Monday 615pm Recreational Run.

Monday 730pm Beginner Run

Tuesday 615pm Advanced Run.

Wednesday 615pm Conditioning Circuit.

All these sessions are from the Michelin Athletic Club on the Woodside Road in Ballymena.
