Ballymena Rugby Club’s Stephen Mulholland will have the chance to taste international action on home turf this weekend.

He is named in the Ireland Club team which will take on their French counterparts in the historic Ulster Bank Club International at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday night (kick-off 8pm).

Mulholland will line up in the back row alongside another Ballymena man, former Ballymena Academy captain Paul Pritchard, who now plays his club rugby for Ballynahinch.

Both men played in Ireland’s opening 23-18 defeat to Scotland last weekend.

Another Ballymena Rugby Club player, Connor Smyth, is named among the replacements for the game in Dublin.
