Cambridge House’s hopes of reaching the second round of the Danske Bank Schools’ Cup ended in gallant failure tonight.

John Nicholl’s side went down 27-13 to Limavady Grammar in a second round tie played in front of a bumper crowd of 400 spectators under the floodlights at Ballymena Rugby Club.

Cambridge House were well in the game at 13-20 down - Sam Millar scored a try, while James Bovill kicked a conversion and two penalties - and were pushing for another score when a pass was intercepted by Limavady for the decisive score in the match.

Cambridge House will now enter the Subsidiary competition.
