The curtain comes down on this season’s short mat bowling scene at St Patrick’s Church Hall, Ballymena tonight (Thursday) when 1st Ahoghill play Michelin in the final of the Glass Cup.

The competition traditionally pitches together the section winners from the Churches League and the District League.

Ahoghill will be hoping to add the Glass Cup to their Churches league and United Feeds Cup victories.

Michelin on the other hand, go into this game with no silverware to show for their seasons efforts thus far.

To be fair to the Woodside Road outfit, they normally have something in the cabinet at this stage of the season.

However, BPFA’s successful league campaign and the Golf Club’s League Cup win resulted in both trophies departing to the Knockan Road and Raceview Road respectively.

All proceeds raised will be donated to a Charity chosen by the Glass family. The game is scheduled for a 7:30pm start.
