David McFall and Frank McDowell won the Blind Pairs competition as action resumed in the Ballymena, Harryville & District Darts League on Friday night.

A total of 52 players turned up on Friday night at the Coach Bar to take part in the annual competition.

A thoroughly enjoyable night was had by all who attended.

On Board 1, David McFall and Frank McDowell progressed to the semi-finals by overcoming John Elder and Jimmy Moorehead in the board finale.

Board 2 witnessed Jason Mooney and Rab Lynn overcoming Geoff Wylie and Tina McKenna to book their semi-final place.

Board 3 climaxed with Darnell McCrory and John Greer defeating John Stewart and Irene Lowry.

Finally, Board 4 saw Daniel Thompson and Joe Balmer claim the last semi-final spot with victory over Paul Rock and Deirdre Hamill.

The first semi-final saw David McFall and Frank McDowell claim the victory over Jason Mooney and Rab Lynn; and the second semi witnessed Darnell McCrory and John Greer defeat Daniel Thompson and Joe Balmer.

The final saw Darnell McCrory (Drifters), one of last year’s winners playing with a different Greer - on that occasion Chris - in John Greer (Spinning Mill) defeated by Frank McDowell (Fountain Bar) and David McFall (Drifters).

This succes means David has now added the Blind Pairs trophy to the Simpson Pairs won earlier this season.

A special thanks to Davy Wilson who coordinated and ran the competition flawlessly.
