Fit N Running had 3 athletes in action on Friday evening at the Antrim 5 mile multi-terrain race.

The increasingly poplar event attracted a field of 111 competitors.

The in form Mark McKinstry recorded a sweeping victory despite going off course due a marshalling error. He did however keep his composure to get back on course and finish well clear in a time of 26mins 11secs.

John Miskimmin and Conor Shiels were stride for stride before Conor made his move from a mile out immediately opening a gap. It wasn’t decisive though as Miskimmin came back strongly to finish in 8th in 29mins 36secs with Shiels taking 10th in 30mins 52secs.
