Fit N Running athlete Mark McKinstry added to his considerable medal haul when he led North Belfast Harriers to the Northern Ireland Team title last Sunday.

In a rare outing at the distance in the Belfast City Half marathon Mark produced a huge personal best performance in a sell out event which incorporates the National championships.

The Glenwherry-based runner finished well up the field in 5th place in 71mins 53secs.

This team gold completed a superb hatrick for Mark and the Harriers team who have also won the National 5k and 10k team titles this season.

26 EXTREME CAUSEWAY HALF MARATHON

Vernon Sheils produced a superb performance at the Causeway coast half marathon on Saturday when he claimed a top 10 finish from a field of 418 athletes.
