The Midweek Triples League is up and running throughout the summer months.

The league gives an opportunity for established clubs such as Ballymena, Portglenone and Old Bleach an opportunity to give some younger members their first taste of competitive bowls.

It also enables clubs such as Ahoghill and Broughshane, who don’t play in any estbalished league, an opprtunity to play in a match situation.

Results from the opening few weeks of the competition are:

Old Bleach 33 (1), Ahoghill 36 (4): D Selfridge 9, G Beattie 12; Jordan Millar 14, J Marks 10; Ew Evans 10, J Patterson 14.

Antrim I 31 (0), Portglenone 51 (5): M Walker 10, A Hunter 21; F Coulter 11, A Millar 14; M Moore 10, G Merron 16.
