Ballymena Hockey Club’s season concluded with its annual dinner and awards evening at the Michelin Athletic Club on Friday night.
The event was attended by over one hundred Club members, friends and Sponsors, who enjoyed a great night of good food and entertainment.
The Club’s nominated Charity for the evening was the RVH Liver Support Group and was well supported by all Members. Club Chairman Trevor Topping thanked everyone who participated this season and congratulated Team of the Year the Ladies 2nd XI on a magnificent League campaign, winning promotion from Junior 2 into Junior 1. Trevor also thanked all the Club Sponsors for their support and Jane’s Kitchen for the excellent meal.
Mrs Cathy Simpson, representing Mini and Junior sponsor Michelin Tyre PLC, presented the Club Awards to the following winners.
Senior player of the year - Rebekah Reynolds; Most consistent senior - Laura Logan; Most consistent junior - Holly Dickey; 1st XI player of the year - Joanne Logan; 2nd XI player of the year - Nicola Greer; 3rd XI player of the year - Emma Johnston; 4th XI player of the year - Charlene Lorimer; 1st XI junior player of the year - Holly Taggart; 2nd XI junior player of the year - Lauren Hanna; 3rd XI junior player of the year - Julie Kernohan; 4th XI junior player of the year - Claudia McKernan.
Social player of the year - Ruth Barr
U15 Development player of the year - Chloe Farquhar; U15 Development most improved player - Jasmine Granger.
U15 Performance player of the year - Emily Anderson; U15 Performance most improved player - Sarah Montgomery.

Tovey award for Umpiring – Hugh Ramsey; Team of the Year – Ladies 2nd XI; Club Person of the year – Stephanie Storey & Grace McBurney.
Ballymena’s men’s Second Xi are still completing their league campaign, with a 3-0 win over Campbellians Thirds in their latest match at the weekend.
Phil Nicholl and a double strike from Andy Linford wrapped up victory at the Showgrounds.
