SLIDESHOW: Last-gasp Schools’ Cup win for Antrim Grammar

Antrim Grammar School reached the second round of the Danske Bank Schools’ Cup in thrilling fashion at the weekend.

The Steeple Road school’s First XV emerged on the right side of a nail-biting contest at Banbridge Academy, with Antrim eventually prevailing by 16 points to 15.

Sam Gordon proved the hero for Antrim as he slotted over a penalty with the last kick of the game to give the local boys a famous victory.

Antrim Grammar now travel to Foyle & Londonderry College in the next round of the competition, on January 23.
