At the halfway stage in the Sweep Stableford Competition played at Galgorm Castle Golf Club, 24 handicapper Colin Thompson and 10 handicapper Gary Jackson were vying for the lead a point ahead of Raymond Ardis (12).

Two points further back came Colin Steele (5) and Michael Alexander (5) and another point behind came Gareth Beckington (13) and Joel McNeilly (6).

Peter Daly (7) was a further point back.

Beckington who had been steadily moving up joined Jackson.

Ardis was another point behind and a point ahead of Daly, McNeilly and Alexander who were a further two points ahead of Steele who faltered at fourteen when he failed to score.

In a close finish over the closing two holes Thompson with a double bogey, bogey held on to win by one point from continued improving Beckington (two pars) with Jackson (bogey, par) another point behind in third place.
