Eugene Laverty maintained his record of scoring in every round of this year’s MotoGP championship at the weekend.

The Toomebridge rider finished in 11th position in Sunday’s race at Sachsenring in the German round of the series.

That was enough to earn five championship points and take his tally for the season to 53.

He currently sits 10th in the standings after nine races, the halfway point in the season.

The next round of the championship is in Austria on August 14.

The Aspar Ducati rider’s best result of the season came in Argentina in early April, when he finished fourth.
