MARK Allen made a sensational return to where his snooker career began last week as he lined out for Fountain Aces in the Ballymena & District League during a break in his professional schedule.

Despite giving away a large number of points on handicap to Dunloy United opponent Paul McQuillan, the world number eight unsurprisingly won his match 2-0, but his team were held to a 2-2 draw.

That meant they slipped a point further back in the title race as leaders Minnesota B won 3-1 at Dunloy Cowboys.

Last week’s results were:

Dunloy United 2, Fountain Aces 2: B O’Kane 0, J Fry 2; M Crawley 2, L Kelly 0; P McQuillan 0, M Allen 2; C Cunning 2, J O’Reilly 1.

Dunloy Cowboys 1, Minnesota B 3: M McErlaine 0, R Kinney 2; R McDonnell 2, D Swann 0; A McErlaine 0, W Dobbin 2, G McAuley 0; G Craig 2.

Parochial Lions 2, Minnesota Strikers 2: G Bryans 1, R Shirley 2; R Russell 2, G McAleese 0; B Brown 0, H Larkin 2; R McAleese 2, B McKane 0.

Minnesota A 3, Dunloy Cowboys 1: R McFall 2, A McErlaine 1; D McClean 1, R McDonnell 2; M McFall 2, M McErlaine 0; D Thompson 2, G McAuley 0.
