A full grid is set to race at the Armoy Road Races on the 27th and 28th July 2012.

With entries closing early this week the Armoy Motorcycle Road Racing Club can confirm that there will be a full line up for the Armoy Road Races at the end of the month.

Bill Kennedy, Clerk of the Course, Armoy Road Races said, ‘We recently had a meeting to confirm all of the entries and the Club is absolutely delighted to announcethat we have a full grid!

“This will make for a fantastic event and some amazing racing. We’ve 41 newcomers alone and along with our local lads Michael and William Dunlop and Adrian Archibald there won’t be a better day’s racing in the national road racing calendar.”

An impressive line up also sees local men and recent TT winner Ryan Farquhar, Michael Pearson, one of the most exciting road racers at the present time, Stephen Thompson,John Burrows and David Morgan.

“Road Racing is having a difficult time, no one can deny that, not least because of the economic climate and the wet weather, however the Club has worked extremely hard to ensure that the Armoy Road Races will have a great meeting,” continued Bill Kennedy.

“We hope that the fans will make the effort and turn out to see some of the best local talent in road racing. Of course we also have the Tyco TAS Suzuki Team, Connor Cummins and Guy Martin racing.

“Without a doubt there are going to be a few exciting races throughout the day, including the RiverRidge Recycling ‘Race of the Legends’, which will be a ‘giant’ of a race. With added attractions during Race Week, which include the JPS Nortonbike leading the Parade Lap, this is going to be an outstanding event.

“We also have in place a television agreement, which will ensure Armoy is aired to millions via the likes of Eurosport and Sky Sports after the event. Armoy Road Raceswill definitely be on the global map!” concluded Bill Kennedy.

The event is part sponsored by the Northern Ireland Tourist Board.
